“The Network”
The Missouri Faith Community Substance Abuse Resource Network is an informal statewide group made up of individuals who have an interest in faith-based substance abuse prevention, treatment, or recovery support services. The Network meets three times a year in Columbia, Missouri. Once a year Network participants travel to the Missouri State Capitol to meet informally with legislators. The Network ususally meets the third Friday of April, July, and October from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Among the Network’s accomplishments is the development of a stater kit for faith-based organizations interested in establishing substance abuse ministries or programs. Additional information about the starter kit can be obtained by e-mailing ccfc.ccfc@att.net.
